Jewberry WebsiteJewberry.com is a Blackberry software sales website designed for mobile content.  This website makes use of a FREE Joomla! component, called PDA Plugin.  This allows for separate webiste menus that can point to different content  that is optimized (less images, code, etc) for mobile phones.

iPhones will display the full website content.  Blackberry and older phones will automatically get redirected to http://m.jewberry.com, where visitors can purchase the software from a third-party using their phone.

This site also makes use of a Google Ad-Sense module that the client uses to display relavent advertising to earn extra money.  There are literally thousands of Joomla! components and modules that are FREE to use on your site that can extend the core functionality of Joomla to suit your needs.

VBC Orioles

Orioles of the Virginia Baseball CongressThe VBC Orioles website is a personal project.  My baseball team wanted a website that we could use to keep track of statistics and player information.  With the purchase of a $39 Joomla! component, the VBC Orioles are able to keep track of schedules, results, player stats, and other team news.

Some additional components used are a Google Calendar integration, RSS News feeds, and Flickr photo integration.  Check out the site to see some of these technologies in action!

Breathewell

Breathewell Site Design804Tech developed and designed the Joomla! website based on a client-supplied design of the legacy version of Joomla!.  The clients wanted to keep the website that could be manage themselves with little technical savy or website coding expertise.  The client chose a Joomla template that met their needs and in just a few days, a new Joomla! site was approved and installed on their web hosting.

The main objective was to embed multiple YouTube videos that would display in a pop-up (lightbox) window that reduced server-side video streaming, and placed the bandwith constraints on YouTube, and not their hosting server.

Embedding YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu videos from the remote site is a terrific way to add multimedia content to your website without utilizing hosting server bandwidth.  With a Joomla! website, you can embed videos in your website with just a few keystrokes!
